It’s our pleasure to introduce…

Josephine Karipis, née Buttigieg, the Principal Director and Solicitor of The Australian Law Firm in Sydney. Josephine built The Australian Law Firm on a modem law firm with traditional values basis, keen to help you with all your legal service, all over Sydney.

The Australian Law Firm is your virtual, mobile law practice and/or traditional office practice law firm providing legal services not only in NSW, but has extended across Australia with an International reach expanding law practice.

Josephine founded The Australian Law Firm in 2014 to focus on helping individuals navigate their way through the legal minefield encountered during their life-time. She is a trusted, sensitive Solicitor willing to meet you at any NSW location for legal representation and advice.

Josephine was admitted to the Supreme Court of NSW in 2007 and has been providing legal services with 13 years of experience in law and as a generalist Solicitor, an Associate Solicitor of a Sydney Law Firm as well as a Managing Solicitor of another Sydney Law Firm. Josephine has amassed a resume that includes successfully representing clients in Commercial and Corporate Law, Civil Litigation, Criminal Law, Family Law, Wills & Estates, Property Law and Conveyancing.

Since founding The Australian Law Firm, the legal services provided by Josephine traverses across NSW and has extended interstate, across Australia and on an International level by assisting our clients with overseas matters.

The legal services which The Australian Law Firm provides are of high quality. Josephine has been recognised time-and-time again by valued and loyal clients, but also by large support from multicultural organisations, such as La Valette Social Centre Blacktown NSW, Saint Nicholas Festa Committee and other support groups.

Our valued and loyal clients and supporters have all assisted in The Australian Law Firm accomplishments by voting for The Australian Law Firm and nominating them for “Outstanding Legal Services” in the Fairfield City Local Business Awards in the years 2018, 2019 and 2020, which The Australian Law Firm was a Finalist for both years.

The Australian Law Firm is the virtual law firm for this century. Josephine’s emerging business model helps The Australian Law Firm solicitors think differently about how to operate our law practices. It is a forward-looking model of delivering client services. This is a fascinating dynamic that she explores by understanding that our client’s time is important. That is why The Australian Law Firm offer our clients flexible options when it comes to meeting them and in providing legal services.

The Australian Law Firm offers their clients the traditional face-to-face meetings or consultations at our Edensor Park, Mascot and/or Parramatta offices where we meet our clients there by appointments only.

However, some clients feel intimidated by walking into a lawyer’s office, and that is why The Australian Law Firm offers a mobile legal service to the client’s premises where we can meet our clients anywhere in Sydney in a non-formal setting. The Australian Law Firm is happy to see their clients at their own homes, nursing home facilities or retirement villages, a local café, workplace, a court house or any other appropriate location our clients wish for us to attend. You choose and we will arrange an appointment for you as long as it is an appropriate place. Simply put, we come to you when you’re available!

As part of The Australian Law Firm’s community involvement, we extend our legal services by finding time on a monthly basis to service the growing elderly community or any other community members at La Valette Social Centre Blacktown NSW. Normally this legal service occurs twice a month, but pre-booked appointments are essential.

Josephine has a keen interest in assisting the general public with all their legal needs and would like to meet and act for you, if you choose to use our legal services at The Australian Law Firm.

Getting to know Josephine on a personal level

Heritage

Josephine was born in Għajnsielem, Gozo, Malta.

At the age of 2, Josephine migrated to Sydney. She has continued to live in Sydney since and considers Australia home.

Of course, Josephine is still proud of her Maltese heritage. She is particularly proud of Malta’s esteemed history. King George VI awarded the George Cross to Malta in a letter to the island’s Governor, Lieutenant-General Sir William Dobbie dated 15 April 1942. In the letter it stated to “bear witness to the heroism and devotion of its people” during the great siege Malta underwent in the early parts of World War II.

It is with that same fighting spirit that Josephine undertook a career in law.

Family lifestyle

In her spare time, Josephine is kept busy by her husband, Michael, and their young child. Like any family business, she relies on them for support to have a better work-life balance with a family-life balance.

Hobbies

Josephine loves to travel and explore the wild. Her hobby is to get up close and personal to our beautiful wildlife. Both Michael and Josephine have experienced heart beating encounters, including but not limited to up close and personal with wild animals at various zoos.
